Supper, singing and sokkie at Simbithi Country Club

Wednesday evening’s Simbithi Sings event hosted by SA music icon Kurt Darren was a delicious extravaganza of good food, vocal talent and dancing till midnight while raising funds for New Guelderland Combined School.

Ilembe Chamber Business Gala Dinner

Local modern business minds enjoyed an evening filled with top-notch networking, a prestigious guest speaker and a five-star menu that dazzled their taste buds at the annual Ilembe Chamber Business Gala Dinner at Fairmont Zimbali Lodge & Resort Hotel on Thursday night. The guest speaker for the evening was advocate and former Public Protector, Professor Thuli Madonsela.

Toasting a legacy

It was a candlelit evening with the stars shining brightly down for Umhlali Prep’s old boys’ and girls’ evening on Saturday. Former students from far and wide returned to their roots and the evening was checkered with exclamations from people who had not seen each other in years. The event was part of the school’s centenary celebrations as they mark their hundredth birthday this year.

Easter eggs galore at Summerhill House

Big smiles and loads of laughter were the order of the day on Tuesday as the children of Summerhill House in Etete embarked on an exciting Easter egg hunt. More than 500 Easter eggs were donated by Dolphin Coast 911, and were handed out by a number of emergency services which are featured on the recently launched community app.

Hoppin’ Easter fun

The Easter bunny hopped through Ballito while his helpers handed out chocolate eggs spreading happiness where they went over the long weekend. The children took part in fun activities such as colouring in, making chocolate Easter biscuits and of course getting hugs. Buzz around the new mall

Salt Rockers excitedly explored the newly opened Mount Richmore Mall over the Easter weekend. While not all the shops were open, the massive Checkers, stylish boutique stores and The Crazy store kept the shoppers entertained.

Bloom Colour Run

The sun came out to play as 550 fun runners of all ages got colourful to help raise a fantastic R60 000 at the annual Bloom Colour Run last weekend.
