Wellness all round at Tiffany’s Centre

It was a day of banting treats, back massages, fitness tests and dental checks at Tiffany’s Shopping Centre’s wellness day last week. The various wellness offerings gave visitors a free all round check and health advice to make sure your body and mind are on the right track.

Chefs’ cook-off serves up goodwill

The spectacular food created by the Master Chef cook-off competitors at Ballito’s Mozambik restaurant last Wednesday put the audience in a generous mood with the evening bringing in a proud R35 000 for the Umhlali SAPS trauma unit.

Umhlali Preparatory School (UPS) marked its 100th year recently with a meaningful ceremony in the school hall and followed that up with a fun-filled family day on Saturday.Despite a bit of rain, parents, children and alumni came out in droves to celebrate together with everyone from the UPS family. UPS opened its doors back in 1918 to a mere 14 students and has grown with the Dolphin Coast to become one of the top government schools in KZN.

Heroes come out to play

Flag Animal Farm came alive recently as hundreds of people got the opportunity to meet a few of the local heroes who work so hard for the community. Police, firefighters and emergency services were on scene to chat with the kids and their parents, give some demonstrations, show off their vehicles and sirens and educate the public on basic safety.

The golden sands of the Dolphin Coast once again drew thousands of visitors this year to take advantage of our stretch of coastal paradise. Both locals and holidaymakers took to the beaches to take advantage of a festive season bonanza of good weather and great times.

Thousands welcome 2018 in Ballito

Thousands of eager party goers packed the streets of Ballito village for South Africa’s biggest street party. The neon lights were glowing, the DJ’s pumping out sweet beats and the young and beautiful people dancing, sweating and laughing together as 2018 came roaring in with a bang.
