Friday, September 8

  • Catch jazz musician Sibu Mashiloane and his band of vocals, bass, drums and horn at the Sound Cafe in Ballito from 7pm. Entrance fee is R50 and VIP tickets are R200 each.

  • Rooftop night market at 5-9pm at the Ballito Bay Mall. You can look forward to live music, a beer garden and loads of family entertainment. Contact Brenda 083 780 1953.

 

  • Annie Malan, well-known actress, successful business woman and philanthropist will be visiting Ballito Gesinskerk (NG Noordkus) at 6pm. All ladies are invited. R100 per person including a light dinner. Tickets can be bought at the church office or contact Leonie Spangenberg at 032-9461198.

Saturday, September 9

  • Head down to Sugar Rush Park every Saturday for the Sugar Rush Market from 7.30-noon. Browse through fresh, home made, hand made, local and organically produced products to support our local growing and developing area. Contact Gill at [email protected]

 

  • A talk on the importance of mother tongue education will be held at Curro from 11am to 1pm. Two professional guest speakers will be there to answer all questions. It is free; however, booking is essential. RSVP [email protected]

 

 

  • Every Saturday morning Forest Hills German Shepherd Club Ballito holds dog training for all breeds at Townsend park, Ballito. Times are as follows: 8am advanced; 9.45am beginners. Contact Scott Farlam on 082 355 4636.

  • The Tinley Manor Shree Siva Soobramaniar Temple Society special general meeting regarding finalising and adoption of the constitution starts at 2pm.

Sunday, September 10

  • Don’t miss the Durban & Coast SPCA trail run! The race starts and finishes at the SPCA. Registration starts at 6am and a late registration fee of R20 will be added to the entry fee. 5km – R70, begins at 7.20am, 14km – R120, begins 7.10am, 22km – R150, begins 7am.
