Tongaat Home Affairs flooded

A burst geyser has left the Tongaat Home Affairs office in a pool of water and as a result, people are being turned away.

Office manager Derrick Naidoo said due to water damage leading to electrical faults, they had not been fully operational.

The mop up effort is progressing however and the office is now assisting with all services, except ID’s and passports.

“We are waiting for our service provider to fix the problem and hope to have everything up and running as soon as possible,” said Naidoo.
