ANCYL picket moved to Ballito Junction entrances

The ANCYL in the greater KwaDukuza region is picketing against the Ballito Junction Mall today.

ANC Youth League members are gathering outside the Ballito Junction Regional Mall this morning to voice their anger at the Junction’s response to their memorandum which was handed to the mall management during mass protest action on March 23.

Previously scheduled to take place on the P445 close to McDonald’s, opposite the Ballito Junction Mall, Umhlali SAPS spokesperson Vinny Pillay has confirmed that the picket will now take place at two of the mall entrances.

However, more than 40 public order police are stationed at the mall and they are confident the ANCYL members won’t enter the premises.

This is a developing story. The Courier will keep you updated throughout the day.
