Salt Rock surfer’s stolen car recovered same day

Quick action allowed Marshall Security to track and recover a stolen vehicle this morning.

A white Peugeot 208 was stolen in Salt Rock this morning while its owner was enjoying a morning surf.

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen they were alerted to the theft from a popular beach in the Salt Rock area shortly after 7am.

The vehicle was fitted with a satellite tracking device monitored by Tracker SA and a signal was found in the KwaMashu area north of Durban.

“Information was shared between the Marshall Security North Coast and Durban North branches and the Marshall Security Special Operations Team was activated,” said Van Reenen.

After a brief tracking period, the vehicle was found abandoned in E-section, KwaMashu, where it was handed over to the police for further investigation.
