It was a very busy school holidays for Protec pupils as they took part in a variety of activities ahead of their final exams next month.
The pupils had revision classes in math and physical science to prepare them for the end of year exams.
Grade 10 pupils also enjoyed a wellness workshop facilitated by Kheth’Impilo, an organization striving for an AIDS-free generation.
Topics such as peer pressure, sexual health, self discipline and making the right choices emphasized the importance of pupils accepting responsibility for, and taking control of, their own lives.
Grade 11 pupils also attended a business workshop hosted by Unilever. The focus of the day was a team challenge to show pupils all the research and development that goes into producing a product.
“Realizing how much science goes into the development of every product was quite an eye-opener for the pupils. The importance of physics and math even for producing packet soup has taken on a whole new meaning,” said Protec manager Marion Takis
Grade 9 pupils enjoyed a four-day ‘Planning for Life’ workshop, facilitated by Joshua Inzalo, a non-profit organization founded by Protec alumni Snothando Sebotsa.
The workshop focused on empowering the pupils with the values, knowledge and skills to make wise and informed life choices.
Takis thanked all their sponsors for the support.
