Young lions in the making

Kearsney's Edward Yeo and Tim Bean.

Dolphin Coast boys Edward Yeo and Tim Bean were celebrated for their hard work in achieving academic honours cum laude and an average over 86 percent at Kearsney College’s speech day.

Edward also received subject prizes for accounting and engineering graphics and design, while Tim was named the best all-rounder in the sixth form.

He is head of house and head of the school’s acclaimed choir, while also playing first team golf and second team cricket.

Two other local boys also excelled: Aidan Bossert who achieved academic honours and won the business studies trophy and Jordan Morum who was awarded academic colours.

CEO of the Wildlands Conservation Trust and guest speaker Dr Andrew Venter urged those matriculating to follow their hearts.

“Make a difference. Inspire change. Follow your heart with the courage of a lion. It will set you up for greatness,” said Dr Venter.
