Reddam House has appointed a dynamic and experienced principal to head up the school, which is set to open its doors in Ballito next January.
Catherine Raw, current principal of Westville Girls’ High, will head up this ninth school in the Reddam House group.
She holds an honours degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and also taught at Carter High in Pietermaritzburg.
She has also been a national examiner and an external moderator.
Last year she was placed first by the Department of Education in the National Teaching Awards (Excellence in Secondary School Leadership category).
“Catherine’s impact and contribution to Westville Girls’ High School has been remarkable. Her love for the Arts is evident and we look forward to seeing some exciting productions performed in the magnificent auditorium currently under construction on the Ballito site,” said Shaun Fuchs, managing director of Reddam House Gauteng and New Schools.
