One man has been killed and two have been left with serious injuries following an attack at the Imam Hussain Mosque in Ottawa, Verulam.

The three victims, believed to be a worshiper, care taker and priest, were targeted by three armed men, who reportedly walked into the Mosque screaming and shouting.

Paul Herbst of IPSS Medical Rescue said, “Unconfirmed reports suggests that three men, reportedly of Egyptian descent, attacked members of the mosque before setting fire to the building.”

A device was thrown into the Mosque by the suspects.

Netcare 911’s Shawn Herbst confirmed that all three victims had their throats slit.
