WATCH: Airport security officer leaves travellers in awe with hidden talent

After his flight home was delayed by several hours, Paulo-Jorge Da Silva Martins of Ballito walked through the domestic arrival doors at King Shaka International airport at 2am on Monday, February 12.

Despite arriving home much later than expected, Martins said landing at that time was worth it after being greeted by an incredible melody radiating from the baby grand piano stationed at the arrivals gate.

Seated at the piano was an airport security officer who was using the quiet, early hours of the morning to practice.

Martins managed to capture a video of the talented man, who is reportedly the Airport SAPS Constable, which has been circulating on social media and has already had over 80 000 views.

“We have so much good in this country and we don’t have to look hard for it. A silver lining after one bad experience that will stay with you forever. Amazing!” Justine Drysdale Lion-Cachet commented.

Malcolm Finlayson commented on the Facebook video, “I remember this guy. Getting to work at 4.30am and the policeman is playing the piano while other airport staff are standing around singing. Awesome!”

After a huge delay, this kinda made landing in Durban at 2am worth it. Respect!!!
