Celebrating Youth Day on June 16, both wards of Etete Township (20 and 7) were abuzz with a sports vibe, as the youth displayed their talent at the Ekhalafukwe Sports Ground and Etete Sports Field, by the R102.

Celebrating Youth Day in style

A vibrant picnic was enjoyed by ward 28 residents as they celebrated youth day at the Shakaskraal Secondary School grounds on Friday. Besides the music, drinks and breyani, they also enjoyed a show of girls in bikinis on the modelling ramp, competing for the 2017 Miss Ward 28. Inathi Ngcobo from Nkobongo was crowned the winner.

The past weekend saw action packed rugby at Sugar Rush Park when the Great Railroad Brewing Company Ballito Dolphins went up against rugby log leaders, Hillcrest Villagers. The Hillcrest Villagers dominated all facets of the game. The Dolphins first team went down 72-0 and 12-0 in the second team.
